Emma was baptized this past Sunday, October 26th at Auburn United Methodist Church. This day was extra special for Jeremy and me because we were able to return to the church where we got married, and the minister that married us, Dr. George Mathison, performed Emma's baptism. It was so nice to share this momentous occasion with our family and friends. Although Jeremy's family was unable to join us in Auburn, we felt the presence of their love and thoughts throughout the day.
After church, we went to brunch at the Saugahatchee Country Club. While there, Stacey and Chris presented Emma with a present. It was such a touching moment, and then, wouldn't you know it, Holiday Bear appeared! Last I saw him, I was secretly stuffing him into Stacey's trunk for a ride back to Atlanta. Lucky for Chris and Stacey, the bear was accompanied by a beautiful silver piggy bank. All was forgiven for the time being.
Returning to AUMC brought to light all of the blessings that Jeremy and I have been given. Many years ago, God blessed us with each other, and He has continued to bless us throughout the years with the love of our wonderful family and friends, and the gift of our two beautiful daughters. We pray that as Claire and Emma grow, they will come to know God in a very personal way, and that they will feel the presence of His love, and that of so many others around them.
