A Weekend in Atlanta

This year we went to Atlanta for Memorial Day Weekend. The girls got to see all of their cousins! Kenzie and Caleb were baptized on Sunday, and we spent time with Owen at the Atlanta Jazz Festival and the splash pad in Piedmont Park.

After the baptism, Andy's parents hosted a luncheon at their house in Buckhead.

Putting the "crazy" in Crazy Creek chairs. . .

The splash pad wiped Emma out. . .

Sunday night, we had a cookout with two of our other little friends, Gerard and Nora.  Claire set up a picnic for the little ones, and then entertained them by standing on an old fire pit and putting on a show. Gerard and Emma appeared to be captivated, while Owen and Nora were more into the plastic utensils.

Claire's Dance Recital

All about posing. . .
Claire celebrates everything with a trip to Yogurt Lab. . .

Claire did such a great job tapping in her recital this year.  In fact, her whole studio did!  We were very impressed with the talent of so many kids.  Act II of Claire's recital was a ballet of "The Little Mermaid".  Both girls enjoyed sitting in the audience and watching that show.
As our recital season comes to a close (next year we will be smart enough to combine to one studio, one recital), we want to say "Bravo!" to Claire and Emma. We are so proud of our little dancers!

Emma is 4!!

School Celebration with Friends

Pizza Party at Home

(Round 2 for our Ariel cupcake cake - Woo-hoo!)

The prized gift of the year - Princess Celestia
Kathryn, 5 weeks, was taking in all of the action. . .

Both sets of grandparents gave Emma dress-up clothes. They know her well!!

Our sweet Emma is 4 years old!  It is hard to believe how quickly our baby is turning into a little girl.  This year we decided to celebrate with Emma's friends at school, and then she invited one of her good friends from outside of school to our house for pizza and cake on the night of her birthday.  It was so nice to see her surrounded by friends and family on both occasions.  She was beaming, and thrilled to be 4!
Emma, we love you so much.  You are full of energy, smiles, snuggles, and creativity.  Happy Birthday!!

Mother's Day Tea

Ladies first - the girls went to get their mommies "tea" and cookies. . .
Singing for the mommies. . .

Today was a special treat! I was invited to Emma's 3K class for a Mother's Day Tea. The kids were so excited to escort each mommy into the room, and share their special snack. We even got a performance of two songs! It was a nice morning that left me feeling pampered and loved.

Cinco de Mayo

Post cake entertainment. . .
Bedtime stories with PaPa. . .

"Super Moon"

For those that don't know, Cinco de Mayo is extra special around here because it is. . . .my birthday!!  I was so excited to have my parents and grandfather in town to help us celebrate this year.  They made my day (and weekend!) feel extra special.  My dad fixed us a gourmet meal, and it was topped off with a birthday cake from one of my favorite local bakeries.  I could not have asked for a better day!
