Pudding Paint

The other day, I decided to pull out one of my old preschool teacher tricks and have Claire finger paint with chocolate pudding. She enjoyed it thoroughly and began the process ever so daintily. However, as you can plainly see, being dainty went out the window as soon as Claire decided she was finished "painting" and ready to eat!

School Picture Day

Cheeeese!! Today was Claire's 1st School Picture Day!

4 Months Old!

Our littlest tiger, Emma, is now 4 months old. She continues to be as sweet as ever, and we are having a great time loving on her. Today was her big check-up day. She passed with flying colors, and once again has reached the top of the charts on her height and weight. Emma is now 16 pounds, 15 ounces (yes, you read it right), and she is a little over 26 inches long. That puts her on the charts around 92% for weight and 97% for length. We are blessed to have such a healthy baby!

Happy Birthday, William!

While we were in Auburn, we were able to help William celebrate his 2nd birthday. He had a great party complete with a huge inflatable slide. As usual, Claire enjoyed her icing (she skips the cake), and she went for many a turn on the slide. Poor Emma drooled and stared over Jeremy's cake. She looked like she desperately wanted a bite, but, unfortunately, she is still just a little too young.
For those of you who don't know the story, Jennifer actually went into labor the evening of our Auburn/LSU tailgate two years ago. It was perfect timing because we were able to be there for William's special day. We've been coming back to celebrate ever since!

Game Day

Regardless of the fact that the Auburn Tigers were unable to beat the LSU Tigers on Saturday, we had a great time. It was fun tailgating with friends, and we were even able to enjoy a Shrimp Boil courtesy of our Cajun friend and chef, Eric.
As the evening approached, we took the girls to their first Auburn pep rally and game. Claire had so much fun! She was a great cheerleader, and in awe of everything going on around her. Since the game was kind of a late one, we ended up leaving at halftime. Considering that things took a turn for the worse after we left, I don't feel like we missed out on much.
Overall, it was a great experience, and Jeremy and I had a blast sharing our love for Auburn with our daughters. Once we've rested from this trip, we'll think about doing it again sometime!

Auburn Bound

This weekend we are heading to Auburn for our 1st tailgate of the season. Claire is so excited, and she has kept herself busy for a good portion of the afternoon by packing (everything) for her trip. Let's hope those Auburn Tigers can give us a win!!!

Return of the Exersaucer

In the past couple of days, Emma has taken her rolling to a new level, and she simply will not stay on her back. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but since she can only stand being on her tummy for so long (and she doesn't know how to roll back yet), I feel like I am constantly coming to her rescue. Therefore, we decided to pull out the ol' Exersaucer for a new activity. Emma seems to really enjoy it. I think her favorite part is that, even with her somewhat uncontrolled movements, she is bound to hit something and cause a reaction. It's a sensory delight!
Don't think that the introduction of this new toy slipped past Claire. From the moment she set her eyes on it, she was bound to get in and play. I think we can safely say that Exersaucers are not designed for 3 year olds.

Atlanta Fun Day

While Jeremy was in Mobile helping his brother celebrate his birthday, I decided to take the girls on a day trip to Atlanta. We walked to Piedmont Park to check out an Arts Festival, have a picnic lunch, and enjoy some playground fun. Emma was fortunate enough to have a little buddy named Gerard come along. If you have seen their picture, I believe the phrase you are looking for is "deer in the headlights". Even though they were apparently in no mood to smile for the camera, they sure made a cute pair.

Uncle Brian is 30!

Since Uncle Brian hit a major milestone today, we wanted to be sure to wish him a Happy Birthday. As you can see, Claire was in complete shock upon hearing the news that Uncle Brian is now 30!

Silly Sisters

We love our sweet girls!

Entertaining Emma

Since Emma still can't really do much for herself in the playing department, I often find myself feeling the need to keep her little mind stimulated. Thankfully, she has an energetic big sister to keep things going. I just prop Emma up in her Bumbo seat, and Claire takes it from there. So far this week we have had a Cinderella story time and a sing-along. You have to wonder what Emma really thinks of her "entertainment".
