Yesterday, we decided to take the kids to a Nature Center not too far from where we live. We ate a picnic lunch (with the bees!), and then our neighbors and their children, Emme and Jack, joined us for a walk on the Animal Trail. The Animal Trail had animal exhibits along the path, and we saw everything from owls to a bear. In addition to the forest animals that we saw, there was also a separate area with farm animals.
I believe that Claire said her favorite parts of the day were watching the chickens eat their corn, and feeding the geese and turtles in a nearby pond. Emma was content as always, and she enjoyed her first journey in the backpack carrier.
