Spring Break 2010

Visiting PaPa and the Commins Family
Warning: Technical Difficulties - For some reason, I cannot seem to get these first pictures in their proper order, so they jump from event to event.

Our Spring Break began in West Virginia as we visited with my grandfather. It was so great to see PaPa! The girls decorated PaPa's house with pictures, we strolled downtown Ansted, went to Palm Sunday services at church, and enjoyed good eats!
On our way from PaPa's to my parents' house in Smithfield, Virginia, we stopped for a mini cousin reunion in Charlottesville. Claire, Emma, Grace & Andy did not skip a beat as they joined in play. They had such a great time! Jenny cooked up a yummy dinner for us, and Dr. Scott completed the evening by testing Jeremy's allergies. Food, fellowship, and the drawing of blood. Does it get any better than that?

We love our PaPa!

Smithfield, Virginia

The last stop on our ultimate spring vacation was to visit my parents in Smithfield. It was loaded with fun activities, and we enjoyed every moment of it. Nanny made sure that Claire and Emma were ready for Easter with fun egg hunts, egg dying, and yummy cookie decorating, while BaBa took the girls on their first kayaking adventures. To top it all off, we spent a day in one of my favorite places, Colonial Williamsburg.

Let the Egg Hunts begin!!
Emma learned real quick that there were treats in the eggs. . .

Catch us if you can!!
Yeah!! We got a lunch break visit with Tyler, Lori, and their soon-to-be baby! It was fun catching up.
I need one of these at home!

Preparing for the great kayaking adventure. . .
Emma made it around the dock and back. She was an "overboard" threat. Claire, however, LOVED kayaking.
Date Night!
Thanks, Mom and Dad, for our dinner out!
Egg Hunt number 3, I believe. . .
Lunch on the last day at Captain Chuck-a-Mucks (once featured on Food Network's "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives"). . .

What a busy, relaxing, and great week we had! It was so good to see family. We love you all, thank you for opening your homes to us, and look forward to the next time we reunite!!
