Easter Weekend

Dyeing Eggs

Neighborhood Egg Hunt
Must.Eat.Candy.
Sisters - along with my niece due in August!!

Easter Morning
Where did that bunny put Owen's basket?
There it is!
Claire was excited about having candy for breakfast. . .

We had a great Easter weekend. My sister and her family came into town, and we stayed busy with Easter festivities and the consumption of sweets. Saturday afternoon, after an Easter "dunch" feast, we went to the neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt. Sunday morning we enjoyed the service at our church followed by brunch at Brio. As you might imagine, the weekend ended with happy hearts and full bellies!!

Spelunking Anyone?

Can you see the bunny?
You can definitely see this baby bat!

This week, I had the opportunity to go on a field trip with Claire's class. We took a little trip to some caverns located not too far from where we live. I had never been there, so it was pretty interesting. Hiking over 100 feet underground is not something I would choose to do often, but it was fun to see most of the kids experience it for the first time.

Emma's Dance Picture Day

Emma had her first dance pictures taken today. Her entire class was as cute as they could be, and Emma was excited beyond words. She loves getting to do things like big sister Claire!

Hunting for Eggs

A full basket equals one happy lady!
The hope of a candy-filled egg gets Claire moving - FAST!!

This weekend we joined up with some friends for Easter egg hunts. On Saturday, one of the local churches had more of a carnival set up - inflatibles, pony rides, cookie decorating, puppet shows, and more! It was definitely a fun way to spend the day.
Today, our church had a hunt at a park near our house. The girls found tons of eggs, and came home in the afternoon and played "Egg Hunt" with the neighbors for hours. They crashed when it came time for bed!

Spring Break 2012

St. Patty's Day dinner at Tacky Jack's 2 - Baby Barrett (due in August) was with us!!
Absolutely beautiful sunset. . .
The girls discovered the fun of running down the dunes and splashing into a baby pool. . .
Working hard to find their ingredients for Bo's birthday sand cake. . .
The cake!
We were pretty excited to find a coconut rolling in the waves of the ocean. It looked old, and we each took turns holding it and carrying it up to the beach house. Once there, we discovered this live crab camouflaged on the end. Yikes!
Feeling all "survivor-like" Jeremy busted open the coconut. It was definitely old. . .and rotten!
The crystallizing window markers were a big hit for the young and young-at-heart. . .
Emma enjoying her Tweety bird from the ice cream man. . .
The grilled s'more tradition continues!
Every time. . .
Sunrise from the beach house. . .

Oh, Spring Break, how we love thee. This past week we made our way to the beach for a much appreciated (and needed!) get-away. It was so great to visit with family, relax at the beach, and leave behind the daily carpool duties. As always, we had a wonderful time!!

Happy Birthday to Daddy!!

Mmmmm. . .doesn't it look yummy?!

Well, it's been a few years since that baby picture! Today we celebrated Jeremy's 36 years of life. The girls worked hard on decorating a cake for this special day. Claire was in charge of the icing, and Emma was the "sprinkle girl". Each one took great pride in their own work, and after a dinner out to Five Guys, we enjoyed eating it even more!
